In its latest report, SIGAR stated that the State Department does not consider Taliban attacks on Afghan forces to be a breach of the agreement.
The United States Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) said in the report that the United States believes that the agreement between the United States and the Taliban does not prevent all attacks on Afghan forces; Rather the reduction in attacks is mentioned in it.
Political analysts say the US-Afghan Taliban agreement is against the spirit of the US-Afghan security pact.
They are stating that every article of the US-Taliban agreement challenges and rejects the Kabul-Washington security agreement.
Political analyst Ghafoor Ahmad Javed told Zawia News that the agreement between the United States and the Taliban did not include provisions that would help bring peace and security to Afghanistan; however, the United States signed the agreement for its specific policies.
Political analyst Assadullah Larawi told Zawia News that the US policy was double-edged.
He added that the United States had imposed restrictions on the Taliban in the agreement on reduction of violence and that it should be maintained.
He also added the United States had found a way out of the situation and that it did not impose any restrictions on the Taliban.
He says the Afghan government should reconsider its security agreement with Washington and talk to the European Union and other NATO members about the United States' disregard for the agreement.
Larawi said: "The United States has manipulated the Afghan government in such a way as to weaken the Afghan government and seal its own battlefield.,"
Wardak Sherzad, affairs expert, told Zawia News that the agreement between the US and the Taliban had benefited both parties, but that the Afghans and the Afghan government had suffered.
He added that the Taliban's benefit from the agreement was that a terrorist group had gained international prestige and that despite their atrocities, the United States supported them and did not prevent their ongoing attacks.
He also added that another benefit of the agreement goes to Trump, who would use it in his favour for the election campaign.
It is worth mentioning that on the day of the agreement between the Taliban and the United States in Doha, the United States also signed an agreement with the Afghan government in Kabul. which, according to sources, has reduced US forces support for Afghan forces.
